There is a timelessness in fog. Nature, in sudden modesty, veils herself in white gauze. Fog whispers to us of mysteries, begs us to come forward and see, allows us to hide. It makes time stand still, and dresses Winter in quiet beauty.
Beautiful. I love the photos and every word you wrote..
And for the record, I promise I'm not going to turn into one of those sci-fi geeks who goes to Twilight conventions [not that there's anything wrong with that], but in all seriousness, the setting of the story is in the Pacific Northwest, in weather just like we are having today. SO. My point, and there is one, is that since I have fallen in love with the story, this weather has actually created a new found.....admiration (?) for fog and mist and dreary days.
Don't commit me just yet, because this does kind of curb my self-diagnosed case of Cold Induced Tourettes a little.
Don't worry. As far as I'm concerned, it's a beautiful thing when a book has that kind of impact on a person.
I didn't buy Twilight yesterday, but only because I'm trying to finish another book...so I'll probably use it as an excuse to go out shopping today. :P
I'm just reading through your blog to get to know you better. Good blogs are like a good book that you can't put down until it's done :)
I had to comment on this one. I almost commented on a lot of your entries, but these pictures are so ethereal and lovely that I couldn't help myself. It reminds me of something from The Mists of Avalon. If I happened to be standing by the water, I could close my eyes and pretend it was Ireland :D
