Kate Winslet: A Photographic Tribute
Kate Winslet. Is it weird that I love her so much? Is it odd that I have watched Sense and Sensibility 500 times? She was 19 when she played the role of Marianne Dashwood in that film. Nineteen. I can't even recall what I was doing when I was nineteen, and, thankfully, it wasn't filmed.
I like that she doesn't consider herself a movie star. "Please don't call me [a movie star]. I don’t feel like a movie star in my life at all, and I don’t particularly think I behave like one."
With her son, Joe. I never look that good when going to Wal-Mart. Or, well, anywhere, for that matter.
Ah, the fair skin. If I had known how beautiful fair skin is, I never would have tanned like everyone else I knew.
One for the guys.
I don't know. From the set of Revolutionary Road, maybe? I love the dress. And the gloves. It would be worth it to be an actress, just to play dress-up.
By the way, I used to HATE Leonardo DiCaprio. Hate, hate, hate. Like, Tom Cruise hate. But I find I like him quite a lot now that he's a man. It's like someone took sandpaper and roughed up his edges.

I like her too! Thanks for the tribute :)
I love Kate too! And I know what you mean about Leo. He is better now. And I also hate Tom Cruise. He's annoying...
Give me Kate or Cate over Kate W.
(that'd be Kate Beckinsale and Cate Blanchett)
Oh oh!..guess what I heard..in Leo's next movie..he plays a character that gets killed.. (its true..look at Titanic,The Departed,et al)
;)
:P
When I was sitting under the dryer at my hair appointment this evening, I was reading an interview with her and Leo about Revolutionary Road. I didn't realize until reading it how much I liked both of them! She is stunningly beautiful! And, although I didn't 'Tom Cruise hate' Leo before, he did get on my nerves a little. But you are so right...he's much better the older he gets. I'll have to see if I can find the photo online that went with the interview, but it was of the two of them in character for the movie. It was SO classic 1950's America. They play the roles perfectly! The just look so classic together!
I agree with the Leo synopsis. Now that he's grown-up he's improved. (Why were they all so gaga over that scrawny little boy man?)
Kate is beautiful.
I like the two of them together, and I agree - Leo looks more like a man now. I never thought him good looking before, but lately...
She is very beautiful - particularly in the photo where she is wearing green
One for the guys.
Thank you. I love it when you’re condescending.
Most actors tend to get better/more tolerable as they become older and more mature. The point about Tom Cruise is that when he was in films like Top Gun I found his perfect good looks and arrogance – even as a character – annoying, but he has gone against the norm in that he has actually become more irritating as he’s got older.
I’m embarrassed to have to admit to not being able to remember what films Kate Winslet has been in other than Titanic, but a check at IMDb shows that I have seen her in another one: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which I must admit I did enjoy (unlike Titanic).
Love her too..a classy woman with a curvy body and it's refreshing to see a woman so comfortable with herself that way. (Rather than all of these stick thin celebs)
She is beautiful outside and inside!
Go Kate! (Like her the best out of all the famous Kates.)
I really liked her in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind too.
It's amazing how different she looks in this collection of photos. I drew a picture of her once wearing her Titanic dress... not that it was a particularly large dress or anything, she just wore it in the movie Titanic. Then again, it was a pretty big dress, but I wouldn't call it "Titanic", maybe just puffy... and hangy.
I have not much else to add except that she is absolutely beautiful. Not "hot," in the normal sense, but just classic beauty.
I adore her so much.
I like Kate as an actress and a woman - have you seen her interview on The Actor's Studio? You can find them on YouTube.
Yesterday I missed Slumdog Millionnaire for the second time (sold out again!) so we went to see Kate Winslet in 'The Reader'. It's not a film that you'd buy & watch over again (unlike Sense & Sensibility which I have also watched a trillion times)but I've found myself still thinking about it today.
It's sadly a film where everyone loses (Holocausts rarely raise a smile) but Kate gives the best performance of her life; she definitely deserves an Oscar. We also like her in Britain, which is rare as the press hate everyone!
and I love how she does not aspire to be a matchstick in a matchstick business
Kate W. have something special, she's more than beautiful woman or stunning actress. It's always a special joy to see her.Just looking at her when she thanks for the (2!)Golden Globe !
