I'm so cool today.

I got a pingback and a trackback on a post I did at Journalspace: my attempt at debunking the myth about crop circles after my youngest son was awake all night worrying about them, and the year 2012.

It doesn't matter that I'm probably about to get slammed by a bunch of weirdos who actually believe in extraterrestrials. I'm up for the challenge, because I'm so uber cool.

I'm also not concerned that no one has followed the links yet.

There were some crop circles made just outside our city a few years ago. They're fascinating!

You just never know what is gong on out there. If strange things happen and we ever find out why, that is great. Until then I just like reading the research done on both sides and coming up with my own theories. It really doesn't matter. It especially doesn't matter if "they" want to come and kill us unawares :)

I'm trying to work out a way to sell crop-circles to tourists for a little top up to the Lermontov Sleaze Fund. If any of them seem particularly gullible pls send them my way

Reminds me of a documentary I watched several years ago on the subject. They had a couple of people there, one of whom believed that crop circles were made by aliens, the other by a meteorological phenomenon. The makers of the documentary then rather cruelly got them to examine a crop circle they’d made themselves the night before, and each of the experts, though they disagreed on the cause, agreed that there was no possible way it could have been made by man.

Then they showed them the video of it being made… it was almost embarrassing.
